What are UPVC Pipes?

| Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride(UPVC) pipes are used for cold water applications in the residential & commercial buildings plumbing purposes like distribution of potable water in buildings, waste water drainage, and even storm drain piping.
UPVC is also used for water supply piping (both for indoor and outdoor use), oil & gas pipelines, recreational facilities, commercial/industrial building ventilation ducts, swimming pool drains and many more. These pipes are made up of a combination of plasticizer and PVC resin, they are much stronger than other types of plastic pipes, due to this, UPVC Pipes are also known as Rigid PVC. .
These UPVC pipes also tend to withstand extreme movement and bending, which makes them a preferred choice for underground installation. This material is so strong that it can also be installed in earthquake prone areas

Features of CPVC Pipes

• UPVC are made up of plasticizer and PVC resin, which makes them stronger than other types of plastic pipes, the smooth surface of uPVC pipes lowers the friction and enables them to withstand free and high water flow rates.
• They have better chemical resistance, which means they can withstand harsh conditions like acids, alkalis, oils, and solvents and are non-conductor of electricity, therefore they are not subjected to any galvanic or electrolytic action.

• These pipes are flexible & do not break even under extreme loads. Also, these upvc pipes are UV Stabilized that protect from direct sunlight and are corrosion resistant, which enables them to withstand exposure to any kind of harsh environment for a longer period.
• UPVC pipes are designed with an accurate internal & external configuration that minimizes the risk of leakage.

• UPVC pipes are cost effective-lower installation cost, less material wastage, and there is no need for maintenance.

Due to these properties, these pipes can be used for potable water supply, waste water drain pipes, water sprinkler systems, and so on.

 Applications of UPVC Pipes

Home/Residential: These pipes can be used for faucets, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, shower stalls and also as exterior downpipes for patios, balconies and walkways.
