What are RPVC Pipes?
| Rigid PVC pipes are one of the most economical choices for agricultural irrigation. It is a cost-effective solution for both new and retrofit projects. These pipes can be used for irrigation, pond liners, water distribution systems, and so on. They offer superior chemical and heat resistance and are very durable.
Agriculture pipes and fittings are available in two types of joints:
Selfit joint(solvent cement joints): In this type of PVC-U-Agriculture-Selfit joint pipe, one end is self – socketed and the other plain has an internal polyethylene liner and a self-sealing solvent cement. The other joint is made by wrapping an RPVC pipe with a paper tape that has been impregnated with solvent cement eliminating the couplers. This type joint is suitable for both soil and hydrostatic applications.
Rigid joints: This type of PVC-U-Agriculture Ring joints pipes are created by joining two PVC pipes with a short length of pipe (the “ring”,) for a higher diameter requirement, Ring joints are generally made by internally or externally heating the end joints of PVC. After cooling, a strong bond is formed eliminating the usage of Solvent cement. These sealing rings ensure leak-proof joints and easy installation with a very good chemical and heat resistance.
